The details of a fight, which led to the death of Matisse, 15, stabbed on Saturday in Châteauroux (Indre), are beginning to take shape. According to the first elements of the investigation, an altercation broke out between the two teenagers, both on foot, on the public road.

Secondly, the teenager, suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder, returned by car with his mother, before stabbing Matisse, according to the Parisian’s information. But after these stabbings, the respondent’s mother allegedly slapped Matisse, it was also learned.

Both placed in police custody on Saturday, the alleged perpetrator of the facts, an Afghan minor of the same age as the victim, and his mother, are to be referred this Monday afternoon to the criminal judicial center. As we revealed, the suspect, already known to the courts, was already indicted on April 22 in another case for “aggravated theft with violence”. Agnès Auboin, the prosecutor of the Republic of Châteauroux, opened an investigation for “attemped intentional homicide”.

Racist words exchanged?

Shadow areas persist, but a scenario seems to be getting clearer. An altercation would therefore have broken out between the two teenagers in the middle of the street. During the exchange, “racist remarks were reportedly made by Matisse” according to witnesses, a police source told the Parisian, calling for caution and recalling that we are in the context of an altercation in the street.

In its latest press release, the prosecution mentions mutual insults and an altercation between Matisse and the alleged perpetrator just before the stabbings.

There is no mention of racist insults uttered by Matisse.

During the dispute, Matisse allegedly “took over” and slapped the other teenager, who fled. Secondly, the latter would have returned, around 5:45 p.m., by car, accompanied by his mother. It was at that moment, from the vehicle, that he stabbed Matisse with two stabs, one of which reached the heart. After this gesture, the teenager’s mother, suspected of being the author of the deadly blows, would in turn have slapped Matisse.
