Pegida Rally June 22, 2019

Photography: David Lim

Toronto was a busy place on Saturday, lots of activity. Our rally was one of many.  The weather was fantastic, so there were many people on the streets.

Our rally on Saturday was good. No, it was great. We were able to speak to the public, as the view to the street had been cleared of counter protesters. We were grateful for that. At this rally, we spoke about Islamic teachings on homosexuality, media bias and Al Quds antisemitism.

Before our scheduled rally, we did a small flash demo in front of Queens Park. It was great to be able to speak without the cacophony of the counter protesters. We also wanted to ‘wipe out’ the hate of the Al Quds march which took place June 1. This march begins at Queens Park, down University Ave and ends at the US consulate.  At our last several rallies, we have been unable to march, something we wanted to do to eradicate the hate of Al Quds, but we have been unable to because of the aggression of the counter protesters. This flash demo compensated for that.

As we dispersed after the rally, the counter protesters would not leave our group alone. They continued to follow and harass us, surrounding a restaurant where we stopped for refreshment. The mall security locked the doors so they could not enter, and four of them were kicked out of the restaurant, accompanied by their usual cursing and swearing.

Another group of our supporters was followed for blocks. They (Antifa) like to chant ‘Go home’, but apparently they didn’t want us to go home. They wanted to continue to harass. A fight actually broke out in Eaton Centre. One older gentleman was hit in the head with a brick.

After a successful rally, it is unfortunate, no, criminal, that these Antifa are allowed to intimidate in this fashion. They not only harassed our supporters, they terrorized the citizens of Toronto.

Following is video of our rallies with transcripts.

Regardless of what the counters think, it was a very successful day,  the message got out. That is our aim.

Stay strong, stay united, stay peaceful. Yes, peaceful.

God keep our land glorious and free.

We are here to tell Torontonians who we are, not who media says we are, not who antifa say we are, not who the mayor says we are.

We have a rally planned for 2pm on Armoury and University, but we just wanted to speak to people without the chaos of the counter protesters, hence this small flash rally.

Pegida Canada stands for our Judeo/Christian heritage. This ethic is the cornerstone of democratic freedoms. We stand for democracy. We stand for equal rights for all. We stand for responsible immigration. We stand for free speech. We stand for peaceful demonstration. We stand for mercy, truth and integrity.

However, we stand against Racism, Fascism, Islamism, misogyny, Communism and Nazism. These things are contrary to democratic freedoms.

We Stand here at Queens park in an attempt to wipe out the hate perpetuated by the Al Quds march which took place June 1. During that parade you could hear chanting for the death of Israel, you could see Palestinian flags, Hezbollah flags, communist flags, Islamic flags, but no Canadian flags.

Pegida Canada flies Canadian flags. We are proud of our ensign and what is stands for, namely democratic freedoms. Our opposition hates that. Our opposition burns Canadian flags. They stomp on them.

If you can, make it down to Armoury and University for 2pm. Be aware that the opposition try to drown us out.

Today we will speak about the Islam’s view of homosexuality. We will also speak about media bias, and their furtherance of the Islamist agenda. We will also address Al Quds and the inappropriateness of such a march on our Canadian streets.

I will end with a quote from Sir John A. MacDonald, whose statue we are standing in front of. “We are a great country, and shall become one of the greatest in the universe if we preserve it; we shall sink into insignificance and adversity if we suffer it to be broken.” We would do well to heed these words.

God Keep our Land glorious and free.

The first thing I am going to address today deals with the gay issue, not because it is pride weekend, but because  it seems that our opposition has decided to recruit the gay community against us on their event page. Pegida Canada does not deal with the gay issue, aside from exposing what Islamists and the Quran and hadith say about it. I will start with some Islamic scripture that deals with this subject matter. First, a quote from the Quran and then a hadith:

Quran surah 7 – “…For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds…. And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone)”

Sunan Abu Dawud  (4448) – “If a man who is not married is seized committing sodomy, he will be stoned to death.”

This is instruction from Islamic scripture concerning the gay community. You may say that this is old, taken out of context etc, but let me give you a few quotes from Imams and everyday Muslims in our western culture.

The first quote is from notorious UK Islamist Imam Anjem Choudary who is quoted as saying concerning homosexuality:

“You don’t stone to death unless there are four eyewitnesses.”  Mr Choudary was recently released from prison to continue his hate preaching.

The second quote is from American Imam Siraj Wahhaj. This Imam is a regular guest preacher in Canada, and has voiced strong anti Jewish sentiment as well as advocating for armed jihad on the streets of New York City. He has also been connected to the world trade center bombing and is the father of the Islamist who held and trained children in weapon use at a New Mexico compound. On the subject of homosexuality, he referenced Islamic scripture with this quote. I believe this was a sermon he presented here in Toronto.

“And you know, brothers and sisters, you know what the punishment is, if a man is found with another man? The Prophet Mohammad said the one who does it and the one to whom it is done to, kill them both.”

Wahhaj here shows his deep-seated hatred for homosexuality. He encourages his audience to hate homosexuals, and reminds them that the Islamic punishment for homosexuality is death.

The third quote is from Tunisian Imam Sheikh Fathi Rebaï,

“The verdict for both is execution, because their sick souls cannot be cured. Their cure is execution.”

The next quote is from American Imam Sheikh Farrokh Sekaleshfar,  Orlando

“Death is the sentence.  We have to have that compassion for people. With homosexuals, it’s the same. Out of compassion, let’s get rid of them now.”

American Imam Khalid Yasin: “They are immoralities, and if they are tried and convicted, they are punishable by death”

American born Imam Shaykh Hamza Sodagar,  is currently residing in Iran, and has been a guest speaker in Canada. He is quoted as saying: “If there are homosexual men, there are one of five things. One, maybe the easiest is to chop off their heads…” He goes on to discuss the other methods which include burning them, throwing them off a cliff, breaking down a wall they are standing on, or a combination of the above methods. As I have said, this Imam has been a guest speaker in Canada.

Canadian Imam Zafar Bangash is quoted as saying:

“It is time for us to pick up the stones to stone these people to death for [this] abomination… Allah imposes [this responsibility] upon us.”

The video of this sermon was removed by youtube because it was too inflamatory.

My next quote is from Canadian Imam and Islamic scholar Dr Abdullah Hakkim Quick

“what is the position of Islam on homosexuality?  They ask me. So I said: put my name in the paper. The position is death. And we cannot change Islam.”

After he was confronted with this position, he wrote an article that explained away why he said what he did. But, his quote is in direct alignment with Islamic scripture.

Many other Imams in Canada call it an abomination, depravity, degradation and so on. There are many people that do not agree with the lifestyle, but only one ideology is very specific in their idea of punishment. And they voice these ideas in Canada, and throughout the west, and they implement these punishments in sharia compliant Islamic countries.

It is interesting, these are leaders in the Islamic community. If the community had issue with these quotes, you would think they would say something, protest, decry what their imams are saying. Perhaps some do, but unfortunately, a large number of them do not. As a matter of fact, they concur with what their imams are saying. On June 1 in Toronto, the Pro Palestine/anti-Israel community held their Al Quds day. One gentleman who was interviewed on that day was very frank in his assessment about what should happen to gays.

He said this very matter of factly, as something that would be inevitable. Following is his quote:

“Gays would be executed according to sharia law. Islam doesn’t endorse homosexuality. Sharia law will be in Canada at some point. We are making babies, you are not. By 2060, Islam will be the greatest religion around the world. Are you going to oppose sharia then? We owe our allegiance first to Islam.”

This man is saying exactly what he has been taught by his imams and the Quran and hadith.

So, to those from the LGBTQ community who are opposing us today, you might want to rethink your allegiances.

The next thing I want to talk about today is media influence and impact on the spread and perpetuation of Islamism.

We have evidence that for years, terrorist groups have been using “aggressive online social media campaigns” to recruit young people from around the world. Isis has proved fluent in YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, internet memes and other social media. Amateur videos and images have been uploaded daily by its footsoldiers, which are then globally shared both by ordinary users and mainstream news organisations.

The Taliban has been active on Twitter since May 2011. As of this writing, they are still present on Twitter. The Taliban tweets frequently, on some days hourly or more frequently.

Al-Qaeda has an Internet presence spanning nearly two decades.

All terror groups  are spreading their ideology among the Muslim communities throughout the world, mainly through the means of social media.

Al-Qaeda terrorists use the internet to distribute material anonymously or ‘meet in dark spaces’.

Isis has taken a direct approach especially when uploading videos of them attacking towns and firing weapons.

The Palestinian terror group Hamas regularly uses social media to manipulate and propagate support. Locally, anti Israel groups post hate propaganda against Israel via facebook and twitter accounts. These accounts remain active. Twitter and facebook accounts that warn against this hate are considered Islamophobic, with many of them being shut down.

We have seen for several years now the dampening down of main stream media regarding Islamic terror attacks. Most of them will not acknowledge the connection, or they will excuse the perpetrators as being mentally unstable. In 2017, a Toronto Star reporter headlined an article “Let’s delete Islamic/Islamist labels for terrorists”

A CBC article concerning the Van attack in Toronto inferred that right wing extremism was more dangerous than Islamic terror.

The Islamic Youtube channel The merciful servant calls for Muslims to flag right wing youtube channels to get them banned.

On October 22, 2017, The Toronto Star dedicated four pages, including its front page, in an attempt to exonerate Ayman Elkasrawy, an imam at “Masjid Toronto” mosque, from anti-Jewish and anti-infidel prayers which were recited during Ramadan 2016. That the Toronto Star would defend hate speech is unconscionable. And they defended this hate speech by besmirching the person who exposed it, calling them a liar.

Canada’s state broadcaster, the CBC only seems to respect sensibilities when it comes to Islamists such as ISIS or to those who attacked Charlie Hebdo etc. When it comes to those attacking the Islamic community the CBC exercises no such restraint.

The CBC also quotes organizations such as the National Council for Canadian Muslims, formerly known as CAIR CAN, which the CBC has referred to as a civil rights group. But they failed to note that CAIR CAN was formed to support its parent organization, CAIR USA, which is a listed terrorist group in the United Arab Emirates. It also does not mention that CAIR USA was formed in part by supporters of Hamas and that it has had multiple run-ins with terrorism financing.

When supporting a variety of Islamist issues, which they often do, the CBC quotes as a source the Canadian Council of Imams. The CBC does not reveal, however, that director and former Vice President  of the Council of Imams, Hakim Quick, believes that the position of Islam on homosexuality is death. It also does not state that the “Emir” of the council is also the head of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA). The ICNA believes that Islam is not compatible with democracy, women are inferior and wife beating is permissible.

People that warn about Islamism are regularly vilified by the main stream press. Pegida Canada itself has been targeted in this regard. It is interesting, because when media do ask for a statement from us, that statement is inexorably twisted, reworked or slanted in a way that will lead the reader in a way that is predetermined.

Censorship by the media concerning Islamism is fairly new. In decades past, reports of terror attacks were indeed sensationalized, because they were and continue to be terrible atrocities, but the problem today is a complete turnaround, where the news is not reported on properly to protect the Islamist. Journalism must return to the job of telling the news. Nothing more, nothing less. Get the facts out there. And if that means exposing Islam, so be it.

I also want to talk once again about Al Quds. We were hoping for a stop to this hate fest, Doug Ford promised during his campaign last year that it would be stopped. But unfortunately, it was just that, a campaign promise. The city had numerous meetings to deal with hate speech on city property, with many people giving testimony of the hate propaganda that goes on at an Al Quds march. Nevertheless, regardless of these meetings, Al Quds still happened. The hate still happened. The propaganda still happened.

I spoke earlier of an Al Quds attendee who spoke about sharia, the certainty of the implementation of it, and his intentional misrepresentation as he said his oath of allegiance. This same man spoke of execution of gays.

At that same march, a woman was recorded as saying she did not consider herself Canadian.

These are just two examples of the hate speech that goes on during Al Quds. We have witnessed small children chanting death to Israel. The hatred against the Jews is palpable.

Unfortunately, their viewpoints are not out of line with Islamic scripture which is taught to them by their local Imams. Praying for the death of infidels is common practice in Islam, no matter how the media and apologists try to spin it.

At our last rally, we had placards with anti semitic messages on them. They were so objectionable, that our supporters did not want to display them. These are quotes from Imams, Islamic books, newspapers and individuals. I will show some of them now.

(Show signs)

This is what Pegida Canada is fighting.

Perhaps if we keep the pressure on our elected officials, next year we will see an end to the Al Quds day.

If these people wish to march for Al Quds, let them do it in Gaza, or any other country that supports their agenda, not Toronto. Canada is a supporter of the state of Israel, these marches have no place here.

Pegida will continue to be a voice for the oppressed and voiceless, we will continue to petition our government with our concerns, we will continue to warn the public.

Stay strong, stay united, stay peaceful. God keep our land glorious and free.
